Domestic Ducks Notebooking Pages

Ducks have been a popular farm animal for many generations. Your students can use these free domestic ducks notebooking pages to write about these quacky, waddling, dabbling birds.

Students in 2nd to 8th grades can use these Ducks printables as a part of their study about these domesticated farm animals.

Let your students use these three differentiated levels of the Domestic Ducks Notebooking Printables as a part of their science and biology study while they write, draw, and color what they’ve learned about these farm animals that spend their days waddling, quacking, and digging for bugs.

Ducks Notebooking Pages

With these Ducks notebooking pages, your kids can write about the domestic ducks that are often found on farms. These paddlings (or groups) of farm ducks are used for their meat, eggs, and feathers.

Learn about their scientific name, write about their diet, and write interesting facts about the care and history of ducks.

There are over 90 recognized breeds of ducks (although some are assumed to be extinct); choose a few to learn about. All domesticated ducks descend from either the Mallard or the Muscovy Duck. On my mini farm, we have Silver Appleyards, Saxony, Blue Swedish, and Black Swedish ducks.

Or they can write facts about the life cycle of a duck and the different names for males, females, and their young.

(Did you know that the easiest way to tell the difference between a hen and a drake is to look for a curly tail feather? The males have the curl on their tail.)

Topics included in these farm animal printables:

  • Domestic Ducks
  • Ducks Diet and Care
  • Drake, Duckling, or Hen?
  • Duck Breeds
  • Life Cycle of Duck
  • Meat and Eggs from Ducks
  • Differences between Ducks and Chickens
  • External Anatomy of a Duck
  • Digestive System Anatomy of a Duck
  • Preschool Duck and Duckling Coloring & Tracing Page

These free notebooking printables would even work for copying poems or quotes about ducks for handwriting practice.
