Martin Luther King Jr. Day is celebrated on the third Monday of January each year. The celebration of MLK Jr.’s many accomplishments for the Civil Rights movement was established in 1986 by President Reagan.
The MLK, Jr. holiday is usually celebrated by remembering civil rights activists and performing community service acts in local communities.
