Make bread or shaped cookies. Here is a simple bread recipe small children can do with a little help.
Dissolve 1 1/4 teaspoon yeast into 1 Cup of lukewarm water. Add 1 Tablespoon sugar and 1 Tablespoon of oil and mix. Add 2 Cups of flour. Mix and knead. Place in greased bowl. Cover with a towel and put in a warm place to rise. Let it rise for 1 1/2 hours. Punch down the dough, shape into a loaf and put in greased loaf pan. Let rise for another hour. Bake at 375 degrees for 35-40 minutes.
Make paper dolls. This page has several printable free paper dolls. Or, draw your own like Ma did.
Sing Yankee Doodle, Pop Goes the Weasel, and other traditional songs.
