Veteran’s, Remembrance, & Memorial Day Poppies for Homeschoolers
The last Monday of May is known in the United States as a day of remembrance for those Armed Forces members who have lost their lives.

These Memorial Day Poppies (for homeschoolers) Printables and Activities will help your students learn about the history of using Poppies as a symbol of respect and remembrance for fallen soldiers worldwide.
The United States also celebrates November 11 as Veteran’s Day, a way to honor all the men and women who have served their country. Remembrance Day is celebrated in the UK, Australia, and other countries on November 11. It’s sometimes also called Armistice Day.
Australia and New Zealand also celebrate another day of remembrance on April 25, called ANZAC Day.
These printables and activities about Remembrance Day and Memorial Day Poppies for homeschoolers of all ages. The poppy became a popular symbol of remembering fallen soldiers after the publication of John McCrae’s poem, In Flanders Fields, although that symbolic use of poppies dates back much further.
