This free A Kiss for Little Bear  Lapbook has been designed for Grades K-2.  It uses the classic book A Kiss for Little Bear and includes art, science, and story sequencing.

The lapbook includes activities for five days in one week. Read the book A Kiss for Little Bear each day and then do the day’s scheduled activities.

A Kiss for Little Bear Lapbook Activities:

Day 1 Activities:

Art: Draw or paint your own “wild monster” picture.

Hen: Use the index card booklet to find out more about chickens. On the food page, write about what chickens eat. On the gizzard page, explain what the gizzard does. On the egg page, write about chicken eggs, or draw a cross section of a chicken egg. Color the chicken picture and on the front cover, attach the picture with a brass fastener, then draw some food for the chicken to eat. You can make the chicken move to eat the food.

Day 2 Activities:

Frogs: Learn about frogs and their life cycle.  Use the wheel book to show a frog’s life cycle. You can color the frog pictures if desired.

Day 3 Activities:

Cat: Find out more about cats.  Use the cat shape book to write about cats.

Day 4 Activities:

Skunk: Use the matchbook to write about skunks. Find out why they spray, how far their spray can travel and are there any warning signs that they are about to spray.

Day 5 Activities:

Story Sequencing: Cut out each of the images from the sequencing worksheet. Place them in the correct story order. You can store these in the envelope and repeat the activity each time you read the book.
