Begin Your Contentment Character Study

Use the Contentment Unit Study printables below for these activities.

  1. Look up content in the dictionary. Copy the definition.
  2. Make a list of at least 6 synonyms of contentment.
  3. Read Genesis 33 in the Bible.

Discussion Questions:

  • What was Jacob ready to give to Esau?
  • Did Esau want these gifts from Jacob, or was he content with what he had?
  • Can you think of any time you have really wanted something you couldn’t have?
  • How can you learn to be content with what you have?

Contentment as a Character Trait Activities

Memorize this Bible verse: Hebrews 13:5

Make a list of things you need (food, shelter). Are all of these needs met? Next, make a list of things you WANT. Is wanting these things causing you to follow the love of money?
