Compare and contrast Turtles and Tortoises.

Read The Magic School Bus book. Discuss warm blooded and cold blooded animals.

Read All About Turtles. Do Turtle Worksheet.

Learn about turtles at SanDiegoZoo.org

Learn about the 3 categories of turtles: freshwater, saltwater, and land-dwelling.

Read the Bartleby books. Pretend you are Bartleby and keep a journal. You could write, draw or both.

Choose 3 types of turtles native to your area and study them. Learn to identify them, about their habitat, their food, predators, etc.

Visit a pet store or zoo to see some turtles. Try to determine if they are male or female based on their plastron's curvature.

Read the Tortoise and the Hare fable.
